Nordic ID has signed a distribution and cooperation agreement with TongFang R.I.A Co. Ltd. in China and acquired CCC certifications for Nordic ID Morphic and Nordic ID Merlin UHF RFID mobile computers.
"Local representation, with a comprehensive knowledge of the market, is a "must". Being presented by a trusted partner, Tongfang, we believe, will lead to success for both of us", says Miia Kivel?, Sales Manager of Asia at Nordic ID.

The RFID market in China is heavily driven by government initiative. Governmental five year plan has enumerated specific goals for implementation of RFID technologies. Most of the China RFID market is based on low frequency (LF) and high frequency (HF) applications. The UHF is just at a starting point and especially logistics and supply chain in retail is beginning to exploit the benefits of UHF RFID.
In the face of this opportunity, Nordic ID has the advantage to use the expertise and extensive network of Tongfang group in entering China's UHF RFID market with best in class RFID mobile computers. There are many local and foreign companies providing RFID handheld terminals in China market, but most of them, especially local companies, are providing HF based terminals.
