Kentucky HS Student Uses Smartphones at School for Managing Instruments Assets |

Skycore recently offered this human interest story about how a clever student deployed their 'codeREADr' commercial barcode scanning app so the Mason County Orchestra could use smartphones to automate checking-in and checking-out instruments as well as monitoring payment status and physical condition.
The inspiring Mason County High School student is Nathan Henderson and the project's initiator and supervisor is their Music Director, Mr. Charles Hunter.
"What makes this special is that Nathan not only did his 'homework' by finding a convenient alternative to industrial barcode scanners but he also created the service structure as well -- something typically done by the IT departments at companies around the world," said Rich Eicher Sr., Skycore LLC.
