TradeCard, Inc., the supply chain collaboration and global trade platform used by more than 10,000 retailers, brands, manufacturers and service providers, hosted its 7th Annual Executive Forum last week, where over 100 industry leaders shared and discussed best practices for strategic sourcing, supply chain collaboration and trade finance. The all-star program featured:

  • Supply chain, finance and technology executives from Abercrombie & Fitch, NIKE, Inc., Komar, Patagonia, adidas Group and Columbia Sportswear showcasing how their partnership with TradeCard delivers supply chain responsiveness and visibility, drives operational efficiencies and cost savings, and enables rapid business expansion by supporting aggressive go-to-market initiatives

  • Industry keynote sessions delivered by Richard Hastings of Global Hunter Securities and Mark Messura of Cotton, Inc. providing insights into the relationship between global macroeconomic developments, consumer dynamics and supply management worldwide

  • Product presentations, led by TradeCard thought leaders, highlighting innovations in RFID, logistics, social and business intelligence capabilities delivered through the TradeCard Platform

  • Preview of TradeCard's app development platform and developer network by TradeCard's Chief Technology Officer, including demonstrations of sample applications that extend core functionality

"The Executive Forum -- a business summit of industry leaders -- has become the flagship event of TradeCard's global community," stated Bryan Timm, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at Columbia Sportswear. "The sessions focus on real business benefits: companies sharing and discussing ways to make their supply chains more responsive to support the broader growth and profitability goals of the business. In addition, this is a valuable forum for staying on top of the latest cloud-based technologies and how they are transforming global supply management."

TradeCard's cloud-based platform enables a vast network that spans 78 countries and includes 25 financial institutions and 150 services providers. TradeCard's ability to connect parties across multiple tiers of a transaction and deliver complete visibility into a single version of the truth serves as the system of record for the entire supply chain.

"TradeCard allows trade finance providers such as RTS to offer its products to a vast global network of customers we couldn't otherwise serve," said Justin Goheen, Director of Business Development at RTS. "We have visibility into documents and milestone events as they occur during a transaction, mitigating risk through data validation. This enables us to offer financing to trading partners earlier -- and at more stages -- throughout the transaction lifecycle. Our relationships with TradeCard's strong global vendor base are flourishing due to our ability to help customers avoid lost discount opportunities and increase finance windows."

TradeCard's Chief Technology Officer, Nestor Zwyhun, concluded the forum with a visionary look into the future of supply chain solutions in the cloud.

"The future is about empowering individuals in the supply chain to implement new ways of sharing information and collaborating with all trading partners," commented Zwyhun. "Nobody knows your business needs better than you. We envision brands and retailers building their own customized applications in an easy to use developer environment available on the TradeCard Platform. Thousands of users around the world will be able to access their own execution data in powerful new ways, extend their own functionality, and plug gaps in their supply chain capabilities using rules and validations tailored to their business."
