Herrick District Library, located in Holland, Michigan, has chosen 3M RFID to help improve efficiency for its circulation processes. 3M was selected because of its ability to provide enhanced patron independence via self-checkout, a high level of patron satisfaction with an easy-to-use self-checkout system, highly reliable security for all types of library materials, patron privacy and reliable inventory and statistical gathering methods. Herrick District Library's mission is to welcome all people to a lifelong journey of enrichment and an exploration of ideas. The library serves a population of nearly 600,000 residents, contains a collection of over 245,000 items and circulates nearly 1.2 million items per year. The library's ILS is Innovative Interfaces Millennium.

Muskegon Area District Library in Muskegon, Michigan, serving a population of almost 116,000 residents, has selected 3M RFID for increased staff efficiencies and level of patron self-service, as well as for circulation efficiencies. The library will also take advantage of 3M's uniquely integrated staff work station that directly integrates into Innovative Interfaces Millennium library management system to enhance item processing. The library has ten branches and circulates more than 400,000 items per year.
