Luxul Wireless recently announced the availability of a series of high performance Wi-Fi solutions that are capable of delivering "Whole Home" Wi-Fi access with only a single wireless access point. This new series of fully FCC certified systems and kits will bundle select wireless access points from industry recognized Wi-Fi equipment manufacturers including NETGEAR and D-LINK. The bundled solutions will be marketed under the Luxul Wireless Pro-WAV brand. Pro-WAV solutions combine patented signal boosting technology with innovative and highly efficient antennas to expand the wireless coverage area and improve overall performance of a wireless access point by as much as 400%.

Complete home Wi-Fi coverage has traditionally been attained through the use of multiple access points. This multi-access point approach significantly increases the time and materials costs, while also introducing technology challenges. "Delivering Whole-Home Wi-Fi access can be a unique challenge for installers -- especially when using mobile client devices that are expected to work seamlessly throughout the entire property," said Jeffrey Curtis, president of Luxul Wireless. "Unlike traditional multi-access point solutions, Pro-WAV helps minimize these challenges by delivering complete home coverage with a single access point."

Luxul's expertise in enhancing and optimizing Wi-Fi signals allows installers to enjoy a much simpler approach to delivering Whole-Home Wi-Fi coverage. Pro-WAV solutions take much of the guess work out of the installation process by including pre-certified wireless access points. By deploying a complete solution that has already been FCC certified, installation is further simplified.

"Luxul Wireless is well-recognized for delivering the highest quality Wi-Fi signal enhancement products on the market," said Curtis. "With the introduction of these new FCC certified solutions, we can ensure that the access points being deployed are optimized to meet maximum allowable FCC limits, while maintaining a clean, usable signal. Being pre-certified is a significant advantage for integrators and installers of Wi-Fi networks that would otherwise need to self-certify."

Pre-certified Luxul Pro-WAV solutions will initially be offered for the Pro-WAV 100, Pro-WAV 200, and select Pro-WAV Range Extender Kits. Pro-WAV pre-certified products are available now through Control4 dealers as well as through industry recognized distributors of home integration products including ADI and AVAD. Expanded availability through other Luxul sales channels is anticipated to be announced in the coming weeks.

Luxul Wireless Pro-WAV solutions implement patented digital signal boosting technologies along with an advanced circular polarization signal technology. Together, these technologies deliver increased signal penetration, range and clarity -- easily outperforming traditional signal technologies.

Luxul products are widely used in hospitality, healthcare, military/defense, education, home automation, commercial hot spots, and mesh networking applications.

  • Maximum wireless signal rate derived from IEEE Standard 802.11 specifications. Actual data throughput will vary. Network conditions and environmental factors, including volume of network traffic, building materials and construction, and network overhead can reduce actual data throughput rates. Environmental factors will adversely affect wireless signal range.
