Socket Mobile, Inc., an innovative provider of mobile productivity solutions, announced the inauguration of the Socket Third-party Accessory Recommendation (STAR) Program. Designed to provide customers with proven third-party solutions that enhance the capabilities of the Socket SoMo 650 handheld computer, the STAR Program consists of multiple vendor partners who offer products that have been tested and verified for use with Socket hardware.
STAR Program partners are selected to participate based on their product offerings that are compatible for use with Socket hardware, but also provide a sufficient value-add for Socket users. Each accessory product undergoes a rigorous testing process before becoming certified by Socket for recommendation under the STAR Program. Initial program participants include SpringCard, Seal Shield, Taylor Made Cases, Kenetics Group Ltd. and Uniform Industrial Corporation (UIC), all of whom provide a range of product options for the SoMo 650 handheld computer including contact and contactless smart card, mag stripe and RFID readers, UHF RFID readers, cases and keyboards.
