Wavetrend Technologies Ltd, a world leader in the deployment of active RFID Solutions, announced that they have received validation for IBM's WebSphere RFID Premises Server 6.1. This distinction signifies that Wavetrend's active RFID products have demonstrated a seamless interoperability with WebSphere RFID Premises Server, and have met the established guidelines for effective integration into IBM enterprise solutions that incorporate active RFID technology.
The WebSphere Premises Server 6.1 is an enterprise-class solution that enables real-time aggregation and analysis of RFID and other sensor information. Acting as a powerful middleware platform, WebSphere Premises Server 6.1 allows the data generated from RFID solutions to be seamlessly integrated into overall business processes and initiatives.
In the interest of advancing the use of open standards in RFID solutions, IBM has established the Eclipse open source device model as the approved interface for its WebSphere RFID Premises Server 6.1. By implementing Eclipse, Wavetrend ensures that its active RFID tags and readers can easily deliver data to the WebSphere RFID Premises Server, allowing Wavetrend to provide the infrastructure for IBM's enterprise RFID solutions.
