Amsterdam will host the second edition of the Registered Traveler Forum, the global summit focusing on the most relevant opportunities and issues related to the introduction of Registered Traveler (RT) programs worldwide. The Registered Traveler Forum is endorsed by the European Commission and the Dutch Ministry of Justice and opens its doors at the Radisson SAS Amsterdam Airport, in Amsterdam, for a two-day global summit on May 22, 2008.
Last year's inaugural Registered Traveler Forum in Paris saw the participation of 182 attendees hailing from 21 different nations. The presence of a significant number of delegates from organizations such as Air France, Zurich Airport, Banverket " Rail Roads Authority Sweden, Dublin Airport Authority, Port of Venice, Manchester Airport, Paris Orly Airport, Lufthansa German Airlines, SEA Milan Airports, Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, Port of Antwerp, Vancouver International Airport Authority, Amsterdam Schiphol Airport, Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport, Port of Felixstowe, Fraport, the European Commission, Transport Canada, the French Ministry of Interior, TSA Transportation Security Administration, Dutch Ministry of Justice, the British Home Office, US Customs and Border Protection, Europol, Canada Border Services Agency, US Department of State and the German Parliament underlined the international scope of the event.
