RSI ID Technologies (RSI) recently announces the release of more than 40 new tag designs and the doubling of production capacity for RFID tags at RFID Journal Live! 2007. RSI is a leading vertically integrated manufacturer of RFID antennas, inlays and tags. Their core strengths are in rapid tag design and high quality manufacturing of inlays and labels, coupled with extensive systems design and integration expertise.
The company developed the tags and recently doubled its in-house capacity in response to increased demand which can be attributed in part to the launch of a global development campaign rooted in Europe, Latin America and Asia Pacific.
According to said Wolf Bielas, Founder and CEO of RSI, "we've waited a long time for demand to catch up with capacity. This increased utilization comes on the heels of some key customer wins and the growth of our distribution partnerships abroad. We've increased the utilization of current equipment to the point where it justified the purchase of equipment to provide additional capacity," Bielas adds, "Due to the close relationship with our suppliers, in the event that demand continues to increase, we are able to scale production within 90 days to meet demand."
For the new tag designs, RSI used its rapid antenna design process, the same process used to develop custom inlays for label and IC manufacturers, most notably NXP's Gen 2 ICs. "We now offer more than 60 different inlay designs. If our tags do not meet the customer's specifications we can design and manufacture a custom tag in under a month. Nobody else can make this claim and we're very proud," explained Bielas.
RSI will showcase the new tags in booth 824 at RFID Journal LIVE! 2007. For more information please call 800-466-8247.
