MTI Releases RFID ME UHF RFID Reader for Android Powered Devices: RU-827 MINI ME |

Microelectronics Technology Inc. (MTI), a global leader in the supply of UHF RFID readers, announces the release of MINI ME in the RFID ME product line of innovative reader solutions. MINI ME instantly converts Android Ice Cream Sandwich USB OTG host mode powered smartphones and tablets into EPC Class 1 Gen2 UHF RFID Readers. MINI ME allows users to read and write all EPC Class 1 Gen2 compliant tags at close range (read range up to 25 cm, actual range depends on tag and environment). MTI provides a low level command set API that can be used with Android 4.0 SDK by developers to create custom UHF RFID software apps. MTI RFID ME GUI can be downloaded for free as an Android app at Google Play. MINI ME is 38mm (L) x 33mm (W) x 15 mm (H) and has adjustable transmit output level control. Qty=1 pricing for US-Band (RU-827-100) is $199 (plus S&H) and may be purchased on Amazon.com for deliveries in the US starting April 2012. Volume pricing is available upon request.
