RSI ID Technologies (RSI), one of the nation's only vertically integrated providers of RFID technology, announced that it has reached agreement to become the provider of RFID labels for Kimberly-Clark Corporation, a global health and hygiene company.
One of the first companies to release an EPC compliant Gen 2 RFID tag, RSI has demonstrated excellent performance levels of its labels in real-world applications. Additionally, it has expanded its customer base by offering highly-customizable solutions to meet the growing demand for retail supply applications.
"We selected RSI ID Technologies because of the high-yield rate on their tags, customized intelligent antenna design, strict quality control standards and the capability to expand its technology to meet our increasing tag levels," said Gary Clement, Technology Development Manager in the Auto-ID Sensing Technologies group for Kimberly-Clark. "For us, performance and price were the key factors in selecting a RFID label supplier."
"Kimberly-Clark's selection of RSI as a RFID label provider demonstrates the quality of our labels and how they will provide leading organizations like Kimberly-Clark the capability to optimize their global supply chain and stay ahead of RFID mandates," said Wolf Bielas, CEO of RSI ID Technologies. "Kimberly-Clark is one of the world's largest providers of consumer health and hygiene products and by choosing RSI, it reinforces our reputation of achieving the highest level of product performance."
Kimberly-Clark established its own state-of-the-art RFID research lab in Neenah, Wis. The lab allows Kimberly-Clark to test RFID hardware, such as RFID tags, in an environment that closely matches the supply chain conditions of their customers, enabling K-C to ensure the RFID tags selected consistently meet customers' performance standards.
