HF Reader for auto-login to PC?
by Petteri Weckström
Hi!

We are looking for low cost HF reader that could be used for auto-login to Linux/Windows PC.

USB or PS/2 interface could be optimal for avoiding separate wiring for power supply.

Optional Linux driver support would be even better.

HID makes a pretty good one but some new upstarts are making innovative units as well like a company called macally. in the next few months, you will see a good number of rfid and nfc usb readers that either come with secure login software or can have standard pc/sc aspects from windows to drive them.

regards,

Einar
