Healthcare is an area you can see ROI in using RFID. You can focus on several area:
1) Tracking patient, especially new born baby. It is very useful to make sure hospital won't lose a baby.
2) It can be also used in tracking blood transfusion. Before blood transfusion, nurse can verify whether the blood is correct.
3) Tracking medical asset. There are many reports in lost or stolen medical asset in hospitals. Compared with over $10,000 equipment, a $5~$10 active RFID tag is nothing.
4) Drug prescription tracking. I don't really believe this one right now as it requires a lot of infrastructure changes at item-level RFID. It will take time to make it work.
