RFP: Low-Cost Technology to Record Sound into Greeting Cards

Hallmark Cards Inc. is currently inviting proposals for development of technolog to quickly record sound into greeting cards using low-cost writable sound modules and writing equipment.
Components of the desired sound module include:
  • Data transfer mechanism
  • Sound chip
  • Memory
  • Switch
  • Battery
  • Speaker
    Timeline:
    Phase 1 - Proof of concept hardware desired 6-12 months
    Phase 2 - Scale-up or transfer to manufacturing

    Financials:
    Up to $250,000 for development with strong potential to reach commericialization.
