| RFID presentation on bar coding and tracking |
| by Clarence Gilles |
Hi, all,
We will be conducting a educational presentation to the EPA. We provide bar code solutions, but believe one major application would be great for RFID identification of field samples. We would like to include a few slides on RFID. This would be for read write tags on soil and water samples. Could someone provide us with some slides related to being applied to small bottles. Slides of your tags and your read write readers for this application would be helpful. We wpuld need this info within the next three weeks.
Regards,
Clarence Gilles

Hi,
This experiment i tried with UHF technology
1. This would be for read/write tags on soil and water samples.
Ans: Yes You can read wirte the data into the UHF Tags in water and soil. But distance is the matters and Tag selection. I have tried with Alien Squiggle Tags it was redaing.writeing in water. (Tags should be proplerly laminated).
This was what i aboserved, If you keep the Tags more then 2-3 hours, tags performance keep on reduceing and some times reads and some times not. ( Read distace 1 meter)
2. Could someone provide us with some slides related to being applied to small bottles.
Ans: Yes i tried tags keeping it on bottle (with fluied) surface (Squiggle tags), Performance was good upto a distance 1.5 meters. But anticollision was poor.
3. Slides of your tags and your read write readers for this application would be helpful.
Ans: Please download it from Alien technology site,
UHF Technology:
a. Squiggle tags
b. ALR 8800 Reader
c. Read/write distance (0.5 - 1) meter (With Fluied/soil)
d. Anticollition was not much effective
Feel free to talk to me or mail if you need any more information on this. (kiran_hm@yahoo.com)
